Classification of machine design
There are mainly three classification of machine design which as under:
- Adoptive Design
- Development Design
- New Design
Adoptive Design
In this design the work on existing product with adopt of existing design. These types of design need no special knowledge or skill.
Development Design
In development design to modify the existing design into a new idea by adopting material different method.
New Design
This type of design needs lots of research and technical knowledge.
Method of design
- Optimum design
- Elementary Design: Elementary of machine can be design.Ex. piston cylinder, connecting rod.
- Industry design
- Empirical design
Need or aim of machine design
Every design process start reorganisation or identication of need is outcome of either the requirement of this content with existing system.
