There are some advantages of mesh storage CRT (cathode ray tube) which are given below,
- The mesh storage CRT has a higher bandwidth.
- It has a high speed operation.
- The transients can be easily captured and stored.
- The waveform stored is independent on the phosphor persistence.
- The image can be retained on the screen for a longer time.
- A fixed display is obtained, still for low frequency signals.
There are some disadvantages of mesh storage CRT (cathode ray tube) which are given below,
- The CRT is more expensive and its replacement is not economical.
- The analog storage is less versatile.
